We are nuts. We are nutty parents. This is proven to us on a daily basis as we are reduced to melting puddles of baby-talking goo around our daughter. Do we care? Not really. At least, not in the privacy of our own home. Or around other Parents of Babies. Or in front of the (freaked-out) cats. But it is a tiny, wee bit disconcerting when I hear myself asking a friend if she wants to get together for "lunchy-poo" sometime. Or when C says to B after church, "It's time-a go bye-bye and go in the car-car!" And then we wave bye-bye to all the nice boys and girls staring at us in the lobby.

Lucy is sick at the moment--oozing wet stuff from her nose (a cold) and her mouth (teething) and her eyes (crying). She is very uncomfortable--and we are doing our best to cope with Life on No Sleep. We have set up a vaporizer in our room, and we suction out her nose regularly (she loves this, of course...!) and we are lavishing her with love.

Positive thing on C's list: B's play is finally over, which means he will be home in the evening again. The play ended on a high note--record-setting attendance, great community support, a happy teenage cast---but we will have "Trad-i-SHUUUUNN! Tradition!" in our heads for many months hence. Oy vey.

Here is a picture of the wee one with her best friend in Baby Class, Natalie. They were born 12 days apart. Also, you can see that Lucy is starting to enjoy the finer things in life--dining (well, playing) with spaghetti al dente.

Love to all. I'm going nighty-night now.

And it only gets worse. Just yesterday, I said to my husband "Will you get Benton some milk warmed up? Time is dinner." He should be learning his vocabulary from me, but I find it works the other way around much of the time. I'm so glad to see the new post. We love the picture of Lucy chewing on her "L"!
